Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • You have a solid background in migration, refugee support, or social cohesion in Türkiye and want to work directly with government counterparts.
  • You possess strong coordination skills and enjoy bridging communication between international organizations and national public institutions.
  • You are detail-oriented and experienced in managing project data, tracking tools, and administrative logistics for workshops and field visits.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a national position (National Personnel Service Agreement), meaning eligibility is restricted to Turkish nationals or those with legal residency and work authorization in Türkiye.
  • The role is strictly office-based at the PMM premises in Ankara, requiring daily on-site presence rather than remote or hybrid flexibility.
  • The initial contract is for one year, and while extensions are possible, they are strictly contingent on performance and funding availability.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role is an excellent fit for professionals looking to advance their careers in humanitarian aid, migration management, or international development within the UN system. It offers direct, high-level exposure to national policy implementation and inter-institutional coordination, allowing you to build a strong professional network within both UNDP and the Turkish government.

Our take

If you are a Turkish national or resident with a background in migration studies or project coordination and want to make a tangible impact on refugee integration, this is a highly rewarding opportunity. It is less suitable for those seeking remote work or international relocation support.
