- Professionals with a background in audit, finance, or risk management who have experience working within international organizations or humanitarian settings.
- Candidates who possess both the required English fluency and the intermediate French proficiency necessary for operational communication in the DR Congo office.
- Individuals with proven experience in team leadership and the ability to advise senior management on complex internal control and compliance frameworks.
What should you think carefully about?
- This is a fixed-term 6-month consultancy contract, which may not offer the long-term stability of a permanent staff position.

- The position is based in Kinshasa; applicants should be prepared for the specific operational environment of a WFP Country Office.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This role is an excellent opportunity for a mid-to-senior level risk professional to gain direct experience in the humanitarian sector with a Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization. It is well-suited for those looking to apply their analytical and compliance skills to high-impact, real-world operations, or for those seeking to build a career within the United Nations system.
Our take
Qualified risk and compliance professionals with the required language skills should apply if they are looking for a high-impact, short-term consultancy in a humanitarian context. It is less suitable for those seeking permanent employment or those who do not meet the specific language and educational requirements.
