- Academics with a robust portfolio of external funding acquisition and high-impact publications in cryptography, network security, or machine learning privacy
- Scholars experienced in problem-based learning and passionate about mentoring PhD candidates and teaching international students
What should you think carefully about?
- Relocation to Denmark or daily commuting to the Copenhagen campus is required
- The role entails a mandatory commitment to learn Danish and teach in Danish within 2 to 5 years of employment
- Rigorous documentation requirements including a detailed teaching portfolio and up to ten selected publications must be submitted with the application
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This professorship is an exceptional opportunity for established academics aiming to anchor their research group within a top-ranked European institution. It offers the autonomy to spearhead cutting-edge cyber security projects, shape university-level curricula, and engage heavily with industrial partners, perfectly suiting career progression towards high-level academic leadership.
Our take
Distinguished cyber security researchers with a strong publication record and a track record of securing grants should seriously consider applying before the November 19, 2026 deadline. Those unwilling to relocate to Copenhagen or commit to acquiring Danish language proficiency over time will find this position less suitable.
