Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • You have a solid background in regulatory analysis, compliance, or public law within Brazil, especially concerning digital governance or cybersecurity.
  • You prefer a fully remote work setup and already possess the necessary home-office infrastructure to work independently.
  • You are fluent in Portuguese and want to apply your legal or technical analysis skills to a high-impact United Nations project.

What should you think carefully about?

  • The initial contract duration is relatively short at 6 months, which may require planning for future transitions or extensions.
  • As a National PSA contract, this opportunity is restricted to individuals with the legal right to work in Brazil.
  • You must provide your own remote work equipment and infrastructure, as these are not explicitly stated to be provided by the organization.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role is an excellent fit for professionals looking to gain prestigious experience within the United Nations system while working on a critical national cybersecurity initiative. It allows you to deepen your expertise in regulatory compliance, digital law, and public sector governance, serving as a strong stepping stone for careers in international organizations, public administration, or corporate compliance.

Our take

This is a highly suitable opportunity for Brazilian nationals or residents with a background in law, compliance, or public policy who want the flexibility of a remote role with the UNDP. It is less suitable for international applicants requiring visa sponsorship or those seeking long-term job security immediately, given the initial 6-month contract term.
