Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- You have a background in environmental health, public health, or climate change adaptation with at least five years of project coordination experience in Fiji.
- You possess strong technical expertise in building health system resilience and facilitating multi-stakeholder development initiatives.
- You are an expert English speaker looking to apply your skills directly within a major international public health agency.
What should you think carefully about?
- This position is exclusively open to nationals of Fiji, restricting international candidates from applying.
- The contract is a 1-year fixed-term appointment, which carries the typical uncertainties and conditions of fixed-term international civil service contracts.
- Screening may include rigorous assessments such as a written test or asynchronous video interview.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This role is well-suited for mid- to senior-level professionals aiming to deepen their impact in international public health, environmental policy, and climate resilience within the Pacific region. It offers a solid platform to collaborate with regional bodies and government entities on critical health security issues.
Our take
Fijian nationals with substantial experience in environmental health and climate change coordination should seriously consider applying before the November 2026 deadline. Candidates lacking the specific 5-year local experience or relevant degree background will find this role unsuitable.
