Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Legal practitioners with direct Ukrainian ministerial or parliamentary drafting experience seeking to apply their technical skills to national health system reforms
- Bilingual legal professionals in Kyiv who possess native-level Ukrainian drafting skills alongside fluent professional English for UN-standard technical reporting
- Lawyers with background knowledge in health policy, disability rights, or rehabilitation systems who enjoy stakeholder engagement and inter-agency coordination
What should you think carefully about?
- The consultancy requires full-time physical on-site presence at Ministry of Health premises in Kyiv, with domestic travel required to regional operational hubs
- The arrangement is structured as an independent contractor consultancy without reimbursement for taxes, duties, or social security obligations
- Shortlisted candidates must be prepared for a written technical screening test and verify that their degree-granting institution is listed in the WHED
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This consultancy offers mid-level legal professionals a high-visibility opportunity to shape Ukraine’s post-conflict and ongoing health policy framework. It serves as an exceptional bridge for legal drafters aiming to transition into international public health governance, providing direct exposure to both UN operating procedures and high-level national ministry decision-making.
Our take
Strongly recommended for Ukrainian-speaking legal drafters based in Kyiv who want to contribute directly to national rehabilitation reforms within a premier international agency. It is not suitable for applicants seeking remote work, entry-level candidates without drafting experience, or those lacking dual Ukrainian-English fluency.
