Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Skilled tradespeople holding a formal Journeyman's certificate.
  • Individuals with professional experience in facility maintenance or traffic safety.
  • Candidates who value a comprehensive benefits package, including a company pension and 30 days of vacation.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a two-year fixed-term contract, which may not suit those seeking permanent, long-term tenure.
  • The role requires on-site presence and physical resilience for daily outdoor inspections.
  • Proficiency in German is implied by the requirement for a German vocational certificate and local communication needs.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role provides a stable, two-year opportunity to gain experience within a major university infrastructure department. It is an excellent fit for someone looking to utilize their technical skills in a structured, service-oriented environment with access to extensive campus perks.

Our take

Experienced tradespeople looking for a well-supported, fixed-term role in Bochum should apply; those seeking permanent, indefinite employment may find the contract duration limiting.
