About the opportunity
This National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service position is for a Contract Specialist, Position Description Number T0047000, located within the 178 MSG, National Guard in Springfield, Ohio. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure successful market research, acquisition planning, contract award, contract performance management, and interpretation of contract law to provide the best and most efficient contracting strategies. Duties include planning overall approaches for complex requirements, overseeing procurement of services, supplies, construction, architect, and engineering services, executing post-award performance management actions, and serving as a business advisor to a wide range of customers.
Salary and benefits
- Salary range of $92,841 to $120,696 per year (GS-1102-12 pay scale)
Who can apply?
- Must have experience supporting competencies in business, finance, risk management, project management, or supply chain management
- Must have one year of specialized contracting experience at the GS-11 level
- Must hold a warrant and possess Professional certification
- Minimum education requirement of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees
- Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered under the Military Selective Service Act
