Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Ideal for senior education policy experts with a decade of experience in curriculum reform and results-based management.
  • Strong fit for consultants who have previously collaborated with international organizations like UNESCO or UNICEF.
  • Well-suited for professionals with specialized skills in designing monitoring frameworks and performance indicators.

What should you think carefully about?

  • The role is a short-term consultancy (25-30 working days), which may not suit those seeking long-term employment.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working remotely and managing their own workflow to meet deliverables within a 6-8 week timeframe.
  • The financial proposal is a competitive element of the application; ensure your daily rate is aligned with international consultancy standards.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This consultancy is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education specialist to leave a lasting impact on global educational policy by contributing to a foundational methodological guide. It is particularly well-suited for those looking to build their portfolio of work with major international organizations or for independent consultants seeking high-level, short-term assignments that leverage their specific expertise in monitoring and evaluation.

Our take

Experienced education policy and M&E professionals should apply if they have a strong background in curriculum reform. It is less suitable for those without extensive experience in international development or those seeking permanent, long-term staff positions.
