Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Individuals with life science studies and practical experience in light, fluorescence, or confocal microscopy.
- Candidates who enjoy a service-oriented role and are comfortable training others in technical equipment usage.
- Team players who are looking for a stable, part-time role in an academic environment.
What should you think carefully about?
- The position is part-time (30 hours/week) and fixed-term for two years, though an extension is possible.
- The role is hybrid, but on-site presence is required for supporting microscopy projects.
- Candidates should have strong communication skills in both German and English to effectively support a diverse research community.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This role is perfect for someone who wants to remain close to active research without the pressure of leading their own lab. It provides an excellent opportunity to master advanced imaging technologies and develop pedagogical skills while working in a collaborative core facility.
Our take
A great fit for technical specialists who enjoy supporting scientific research. Those seeking full-time employment or a purely research-focused role may find this position less suitable.
