Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Strong fit for finance or accounting professionals with at least two years of relevant treasury experience looking to work within an international humanitarian or development organization.
  • Ideal for candidates who possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail in financial reporting, and fluency in Spanish.
  • Well-suited for professionals based in Colombia or holding valid local work authorization who want a structured 12-month contract.

What should you think carefully about?

  • The position is offered as a temporary 12-month contract with a 3-month probationary period, meaning it is not a permanent staff appointment.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This temporary role provides an excellent opportunity to gain high-level financial and administrative experience within the United Nations system, making it a strong stepping stone for professionals aiming to build a career in international development finance, treasury management, or UN operations.

Our take

Qualified finance and administration professionals with local work authorization in Colombia and a background in treasury operations should seriously consider applying before the October 2026 deadline. Applicants seeking long-term permanent tenure from day one may find the temporary 12-month duration less suitable.
