About the opportunity
The Department of Materials and Production at Aalborg University is offering a three-year PhD stipend within the Physics Group, focusing on experimental quantum materials physics. The successful candidate will investigate how molecular complexes can be used to engineer quantum properties in materials by depositing molecular complexes via electrospray techniques under ultra-high-vacuum conditions. Studies will be conducted using low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and scanning tunnelling spectroscopy. The position forms part of an international research collaboration funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark, commencing on 1 January 2027 or soon thereafter.
Salary and benefits
- Fully funded 3-year PhD stipend in accordance with the collective agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the state (AC collective agreement)
- Participation in PhD courses corresponding to 30 ECTS
- Opportunity to gain teaching experience and knowledge dissemination
- Funding and support for an external research stay of 3-6 months at a foreign research institution
Who can apply?
- Hold a master's degree in physics, nanoscience, or a closely related field
