About the opportunity
The Adaptive Quantum Optics (AQO) chair at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, University of Twente, is seeking two postdoctoral researchers for the Photonics for Quantum (P4Q) project. Successful candidates will work on photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for quantum communication and quantum networking, focusing on the hybrid integration of high-brightness III–V photonic-crystal single-photon sources with low-loss SiN photonic routing circuits. The role involves designing photonic circuits, performing extensive quantum-optical characterization, and demonstrating advanced quantum-communication concepts in realistic field scenarios. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with leading European industrial and research partners, including Thales, LioniX International, TNO, and QuiX Quantum.
