You may be a strong fit if…
- Current Michigan National Guard federal technicians with experience in avionics maintenance.
- Mechanics with specialized training in integrated electronic systems like automatic flight controls or fire control systems.
- Military members currently serving in grades E1-E7 looking for a temporary promotion.
What should you think carefully about?
- This is a temporary 1-year promotion, not a permanent position.
- Acceptance may result in the termination or suspension of existing military bonuses.
- Applicants must maintain active Michigan Army National Guard membership throughout the appointment.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This temporary promotion provides a valuable opportunity to gain high-level experience in maintaining complex helicopter electronic systems. It is an excellent way to build specialized technical skills and increase hourly earnings for a one-year period.
Our take
This is a great short-term technical challenge for current Guard members; those seeking long-term stability or who are not currently part of the Michigan National Guard should not apply.
