About the opportunity
The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is seeking a Senior IAM Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team within the Library & Information Services (LIS) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and continuously improving Identity & Access Management in a hybrid IT environment, focusing on Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and associated governance tools. The role involves ensuring secure, compliant, and automated identity processes based on the principle of least privilege to support researchers, students, and staff.

- Gross monthly salary between €4,925 and €6,682 for full-time employment (scale 11 cao Nederlandse Universiteiten), depending on knowledge and experience.

Who can apply?
- HBO or WO level of professional and intellectual ability, preferably in Computer Science, IT Security, or a similar field.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (Domain Services, GPOs, Trusts, and DNS) and Microsoft Entra ID (including Entra ID Governance, Entitlement Management, Lifecycle Workflows, and Access Reviews).
- Knowledge of Hybrid Identity, Entra Connect Cloud Sync, provisioning, SCIM integrations, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Experience with Privileged Access Management, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.
- Experience with PowerShell, automation, and Microsoft Graph API.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, Kerberos, and SCIM.
- Familiarity with Agile and ITIL frameworks.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIS2, and CIS Controls.
- Strong analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Customer- and service-oriented with good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Collaborative, coaching, and knowledge-sharing attitude.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SC-300, SC-200, SC-100, AZ-104, and ITIL Foundation) are a plus.
