About the opportunity
The purpose of this specific internship is to contribute to UNDP’s efforts in SDG financing and impact investing. Located within the UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub and the Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development, the intern primarily provides research, writing, and editing support on impact investing and SDG financing, and supports the publication of related knowledge stories and best practices. Key responsibilities also include contributing to the design and implementation of initiatives, projects, or programmes, preparing relevant communications materials, developing online content and campaigns across social media channels, and offering administrative support as needed.
Salary and benefits
- Stipend provided according to UNDP Internship Policies for interns not financially supported by any institution or programme
- Monthly stipend amount determined for each duty station based on rates published yearly by the OHR Policy and Compensation Unit
- Gaining hands-on professional research and writing experience within the United Nations system
Who can apply?
- Enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme such as a master's programme or higher
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme such as a bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Recently graduated with a university degree and able to start the internship within one year of graduation
- Enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertaking the internship as part of this program
- Fluency in spoken and written English required; knowledge of French and Arabic desired
