Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Current Department of the Army Civilian employees with GS-13 level experience.
  • Professionals with a background in auditing appropriated funds and consolidating annual budgets.
  • Those holding a Financial Management Level 3 Certification.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a strictly time-limited, one-year appointment that will not be made permanent.
  • Lacking authorization for Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, meaning relocation to Arlington, VA, would be self-funded.
  • Eligibility is restricted exclusively to current Department of the Army Civilian employees.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role is a strategic move for an Army civilian looking to a "stretch" assignment to build a high-level portfolio in financial program analysis and leadership advisory at the HQDA level.

Our take

An excellent short-term opportunity for current Army civilians to gain high-level resource management experience at the Pentagon.
