Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Kosovar agricultural economists, veterinarians, or agronomists with 5+ years of experience leading donor-funded agri-food value chain interventions
- Professionals experienced in coordinating with national producer associations such as KAMP and managing stakeholder relations across Kosovo's dairy sector
- Candidates seeking high-impact coordination experience with the UN system and the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program
What should you think carefully about?
- Restricted exclusively to Kosovo nationals; international applicants are not eligible
- The initial contract duration is limited to up to six months, though it includes an option for extension based on project performance and funding
- Requires high fluency in English (Level C) alongside verified credentials recognized under WHED/UNESCO standards
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This role is ideal for mid-career agricultural development specialists in Kosovo looking to deepen their project coordination expertise within the United Nations system. It offers direct experience overseeing donor reporting, beneficiary selection, and multi-stakeholder partnerships in agricultural value chains.
Our take
A strong opportunity for qualified Kosovar nationals with dairy or rural development backgrounds seeking short-term contract work with FAO. Those without Kosovo nationality or the requisite five years of agricultural project experience should explore other vacancies.
