Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Researchers with a strong background in psychiatric epidemiology and experience working with large-scale register or cohort data.
- Candidates who have already published as first authors and are looking to transition into an international, high-impact collaborative project.
- Individuals interested in women's health, specifically the intersection of reproductive life stages and mental health outcomes.
What should you think carefully about?
- The position is fixed-term for three years, which is standard for postdoctoral roles but requires planning for subsequent career steps.
- While English is the primary language for research, the unit's working language is Danish, and applicants should be prepared to engage with the local language environment.
- The role requires a high degree of independence in study design and statistical analysis, making it best suited for those who are already comfortable managing research workflows.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This position is an excellent opportunity for an early-career researcher to gain experience in a prestigious, internationally funded project. It provides the resources and collaborative network necessary to produce high-quality scientific papers, develop advanced methodological skills in target trial emulation, and establish a research profile in the specialized field of psychiatric epidemiology.
Our take
This is a strong opportunity for researchers with a Ph.D. in health sciences or biostatistics who want to focus on women's mental health. It is particularly well-suited for those who thrive in collaborative, data-driven environments and are looking to build their academic portfolio through international research partnerships.
