About the opportunity
This PhD project is part of the MADE REACT collaboration, involving 24 companies, four Danish universities, and three research organizations. The research focuses on brass components for the defence industry, manufactured through multi-step metal forming and heat treatment. The candidate will explore synergies between numerical simulations (FEM) and physical sensor data to enhance process robustness and optimization. The role involves experimental work, data acquisition, and statistical analysis. The successful candidate will work in an international research team, with a required longer research period at a university outside Denmark. The position is a 3-year appointment starting 1 December 2026, or by mutual agreement.
