Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Professionals with a background in toxicology or environmental health who have experience working with international health frameworks like the WHO Chemicals Roadmap
- Individuals with proven experience in project management and indicator tracking who can translate complex technical data into actionable reports
- Experts who have previously coordinated with government ministries, academic institutions, or poison centers in the Americas
What should you think carefully about?
- This is a deliverable-based consultancy, meaning income is tied to the successful completion and approval of specific outputs rather than a fixed monthly salary
- The role requires high proficiency in both Spanish and English, as deliverables may be requested in either language
- The consultant must be prepared to work independently and manage their own administrative and tax obligations as an independent contractor
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This consultancy is an excellent opportunity for a mid-to-senior level expert to influence regional health policy and strengthen chemical safety infrastructure across the Americas. It provides a platform to work directly with PAHO/WHO, build a professional network within the toxicology and environmental health sectors, and contribute to long-term institutional goals for 2026-2031.
Our take
This role is ideal for experienced environmental health or toxicology professionals seeking a high-impact, remote consultancy. It is less suitable for those looking for traditional full-time employment or those who do not have the required seven years of specialized experience.
