The specialist will review current practices, benchmark against leading higher education institutions, facilitate stakeholder workshops, design student support and evaluation mechanisms, and draft a comprehensive Teaching and Learning Policy.

Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • An ideal match for education professionals and curriculum specialists in Lesotho with extensive experience in higher education policy design.
  • Strong fit for candidates familiar with the Lesotho Qualifications Framework and Council on Higher Education standards.
  • Great opportunity for individuals with strong stakeholder facilitation and report-writing skills looking to impact agricultural education.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a short-term consultancy assignment lasting 35 days rather than a long-term staff position.
  • Applicants must possess proficiency in both English and Sesotho at level C.
  • Strict eligibility limitation restricting applicants to nationals of Lesotho or residents with valid work permits.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This short-term consultancy is well-suited for professionals seeking high-impact advisory roles in international development and higher education reform. It offers a structured timeframe to apply expertise in curriculum development and institutional accreditation without requiring a long-term career commitment to the host organization.

Our take

Qualified education and curriculum specialists who are nationals or residents of Lesotho with valid work permits should seriously consider applying before the November deadline. Those lacking formal background in higher education pedagogy or familiarity with Lesotho's accreditation standards will find the role less suitable.
