Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Current master's or PhD students looking to complete a well-defined 1-to-10 month research or study mobility period abroad in Central Europe.
- Academics, researchers, and artists seeking dedicated funding to carry out collaborative teaching, artistic, or scientific projects with Slovak institutions.
What should you think carefully about?
- Applicants must secure an official host institution acceptance letter and ensure the physical original is delivered to SAIA in Bratislava within three working days post-deadline.
- Stipends are structured to cover normal living costs in Slovakia; candidates should carefully verify whether the monthly amounts align with their personal and relocation financial needs.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This programme fits well into short-to-medium-term academic plans for researchers and students wishing to gain international exposure, build cross-border institutional networks, or advance thesis research without committing to a full foreign degree.
Our take
International students, researchers, and educators seeking funded short-term mobility in Slovakia should strongly consider applying, provided they can secure a host institution affiliation and meet the strict document delivery timelines.
