You may be a strong fit if…

  • Professionals with a strong background in biostatistics or epidemiology who are looking to apply their technical skills to high-impact public health programs.
  • Data analysts with specific experience in DHIS2 and Power BI who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
  • Candidates with previous experience working with international health partners like UNICEF or Gavi who understand the reporting requirements of global health organizations.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a fixed-term consultancy role (3-6 months) with no guarantee of extension, making it best suited for those seeking short-term project work.
  • The role is strictly on-site in N'Djamena, requiring the candidate to be based in or willing to relocate to Chad for the duration of the contract.
  • As an independent contractor, the consultant is responsible for their own tax and social security obligations in their jurisdiction.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This opportunity is ideal for a data professional looking to gain or deepen experience within the UN system. It offers a clear, project-based goal: improving immunization data infrastructure in Chad. For those at a mid-career stage, this role provides a platform to demonstrate leadership in data-driven decision-making and capacity building, which can be a significant asset for future roles in international development or global health.

Our take

This position is highly suitable for experienced health data specialists who are fluent in French and ready to contribute to critical immunization efforts in Chad. It is less suitable for those seeking long-term, permanent employment or those who require remote work arrangements.
