- Candidates seeking exposure to humanitarian logistics, vendor due diligence, and knowledge management within a large multilateral organization.
- Individuals with strong English communication skills and proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic who want to apply multilingual abilities in a multicultural environment.
What should you think carefully about?
- The internship lasts for 3 months and is conducted in person in Rome, Italy, requiring physical relocation if you are not already based there.
- WFP provides a monthly stipend of up to US$1,000, but interns are responsible for arranging and funding their own housing, living expenses, and visa arrangements.
- The role is temporary and fixed-term, so it serves primarily as an entry-level learning opportunity rather than a long-term staff position.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This internship is well-suited for students and early-career individuals aiming to build a professional foundation in international development, supply chain management, or humanitarian operations. It offers structured learning elements, access to internal training platforms, and practical credentials from a Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization that can enhance future career prospects in the UN system or global NGOs.
Our take
This opportunity is ideal for currently enrolled students or recent graduates in relevant disciplines who are able to relocate to Rome for a short-term, stipended internship. It is less suitable for individuals who require full relocation financial support or permanent employment out-of-the-gate.
