About the opportunity
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) contributes to the 2030 Agenda through agrifood system transformations. The Office of Emergencies and Resilience (OER) coordinates technical, operational, and administrative support for country offices in fragile contexts, empowering rural communities to anticipate agricultural threats, respond to food crises, and build resilience. OER structures its work around data analytics, programme development and operational support, and strategic positioning. The Emergency Project Operations Specialist will provide operational management and programmatic support for emergency projects, assist with budget allocations and monitoring, coordinate the production of supporting documents, and liaise with procurement and administrative units to ensure timely assistance delivery.
