Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • PhD holders in physics, optics, or material science with extensive cleanroom experience.
  • Researchers with a strong publication record and a clear vision for energy-efficient chip-based communication.

What should you think carefully about?

  • The role requires a commitment to both research and teaching/supervision duties.
  • Candidates may be subject to open-source background checks due to critical technology regulations.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This is a career-defining opportunity for a researcher aiming to build an independent research profile and move toward a permanent academic position through the DTU Tenure Track program.

Our take

Experienced PhDs in physics or optics with deep cleanroom experience should apply; those without a practical background in lithography and etching are less suitable.
