Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Early-career researchers with a strong mechanical engineering background and a focus on thermal sciences or turbomachinery.
- Candidates who have postdoctoral experience and a proven track record of publishing in high-impact international journals.
- Researchers interested in building bridges between academia and industry through green transition and sustainable energy projects.
What should you think carefully about?
- Relocation to Denmark is required as the position is based at DTU in Kgs. Lyngby.
- Candidates must commit to learning both Danish and English over time as part of the university's dual working language requirement.
- The position involves a formal tenure track evaluation process and teaching obligations alongside independent research.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This tenure track position is ideal for an ambitious early-career researcher looking to establish an independent research profile, secure external funding, and build long-term academic or industrial leadership in advanced thermal energy systems.
Our take
Early-career researchers with expertise in turbomachinery, a completed PhD, and a strong publication record should strongly consider applying. Those without a background in thermal sciences or teaching experience will find this position less suitable.
