Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Ideal for undergraduate or master's students majoring in business, public policy, communications, or sustainability seeking hands-on philanthropy experience.
- Great fit for candidates looking for a structured, paid 10-week summer placement with a major energy provider.
- Suits applicants who meet the minimum GPA requirement and possess strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
What should you think carefully about?
- No visa sponsorship is available, restricting applicants to those with permanent authorization to work in the United States.
- Candidates based outside of Maryland must be willing to travel to Maryland as part of the internship requirements.
- The fixed 10-week summer timeline requires full-time availability from June 7 to August 13, 2027.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This internship provides a direct pathway to gain corporate philanthropic experience and practical skills in non-profit management or sustainability within a leading energy corporation, bolstering a student's resume before graduation.
Our take
Eligible students with U.S. work authorization and an academic focus in public policy, business, or sustainability should seriously consider applying. Those requiring visa sponsorship or unable to travel to Maryland should look for alternative opportunities.
