About the opportunity
The Fabrication Support team at DTU Nanolab is seeking one to two Process Generalists for permanent, full-time positions. Working in a highly advanced cleanroom environment, you will support and advise students, researchers, and external users on fabrication processes while training them in the operation of state-of-the-art semiconductor processing equipment. You will also collaborate closely with industrial partners to realize their devices, designing and executing complete fabrication processes to meet customer requirements. Please note that this is a technical support position with an emphasis on user assistance and customer fabrication orders rather than a research position. DTU Nanolab is Denmark’s National Center for Nanofabrication and Characterization and one of Europe’s largest fair-access micro- and nanofabrication centers, located at the Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This permanent technical position provides an excellent opportunity for advanced technical professionals or PhD graduates seeking to transition from pure academic research into a core infrastructure, user-support, and industrial collaboration role at a world-class European research center. It builds deep specialized expertise in state-of-the-art microfabrication and semiconductor processing equipment while maintaining close ties to cutting-edge scientific innovation.
Our take
This position is strongly recommended for experienced technical professionals and researchers with a solid background in cleanroom microfabrication who enjoy a service-oriented, collaborative environment centered on user training and device fabrication. It is less suitable for individuals seeking an independent academic research track or those uncomfortable with mandatory safety protocols and cleanroom attire.
