You may be a strong fit if…
- Candidates with foundational helpdesk, customer support, and IT troubleshooting experience looking for stable full-time employment.
- Applicants with IT-related education who want to leverage academic credits to meet the 2-year experience requirement.
- Individuals comfortable with hands-on hardware and software support, asset tracking, and driving between facilities on a military installation.
What should you think carefully about?
- Relocation expenses (PCS costs) are not authorized, meaning out-of-area applicants must bear their own moving costs.
- The position has a strict closing date of November 18, 2026, with no rolling admissions.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This role fits professionals seeking a stable, salaried IT support career within a military community setting, offering comprehensive benefits and hands-on administrative and technical duties. It serves as a solid mid-level public sector opportunity for individuals looking to build long-term experience in federal IT infrastructure management.
Our take
Applicants with a background in IT customer support and the ability to work on-site in Alaska should seriously consider applying before the November 2026 deadline. It is less suitable for candidates seeking remote work or those requiring relocation financial assistance.
