Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Ukrainian legal and public health professionals with a background in drafting national normative acts and technical health regulations
  • Disability rights advocates experienced in facilitating dialogue between Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and government ministries
  • Professionals seeking high-impact, embedded policy work in health equity and national barrier-free strategy implementation

What should you think carefully about?

  • The role requires full-time, on-site presence in Kyiv with operational travel across Ukraine under ongoing conflict conditions
  • As an independent contractor arrangement, the hire receives gross fees without WHO tax withholding, health coverage, or social security contributions
  • The assignment is fixed-term for six months with deliverables tied directly to monthly report approvals

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This consultancy is ideally suited for mid-career Ukrainian legal, human rights, or public health experts aiming to build immediate institutional impact at the intersection of UN policy frameworks and Ukrainian post-crisis healthcare reform. It offers tangible achievements in drafting barrier-free national legislation and high-level engagement across international and ministerial counterparts.

Our take

Qualified bilingual Ukrainian legal and public health specialists with experience in ministry-level drafting and disability advocacy should strongly consider applying. Those seeking remote work, international relocation, or long-term permanent staff benefits will find this short-term embedded consultancy unsuitable.
