Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Mid-career urban planning or environmental specialists with 5+ years of experience in climate adaptation and nature-based solutions.
  • Chilean professionals with established working relationships across Chilean public institutions, regional authorities, and academic entities.

What should you think carefully about?

  • Eligibility is strictly limited to Chilean nationals.
  • The position carries an initial short-term contract of 3 months, though extension is possible.
  • Requires travel and coordination across four distinct geographical locations (Antofagasta, Santiago, Valdivia, and Coyhaique).

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This position serves as a strong fit for urban planning and environmental management professionals in Chile looking to advance their experience in multilateral project execution. It offers practical exposure to implementing nature-based climate adaptation strategies across multiple regions while collaborating with government ministries and local institutions.

Our take

Chilean environmental and urban planning professionals seeking hands-on multilateral experience in climate adaptation should seriously consider applying. International applicants and candidates seeking permanent roles will not meet the eligibility requirements.
