  • Finalists must be available for a trip to London in late November 2026 for the awards ceremony and training.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This award is a powerful career milestone for emerging journalists looking to gain international recognition and access to major UK newsrooms. The bespoke training and networking opportunities provided to finalists are intended to sharpen your reporting skills and broaden your professional reach, making it a strategic move for those aiming to elevate their profile on the global stage.

Our take

This is a highly prestigious opportunity for young, ambitious journalists from low-to-middle income countries. It is less suitable for those who have not yet produced a substantial body of published or broadcast work within the last year.
