About the opportunity

The Resilience Fund is investing in women- and non-binary-led organizations building climate resilience for women and communities across global value chains in South and Southeast Asia. This funding round supports community-based NGOs in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, and Vietnam whose work bridges three interconnected areas: women’s health, safety, and economic resilience; community-led climate adaptation; and connection to global value chains. Selected partners will receive flexible, unrestricted funding over a two-year period, alongside opportunities to connect, share, and learn with other grantee partners through the Resilience Fund’s Learning Hub. The application process consists of two phases, with Phase 1 opening on September 18, 2026, and closing on October 12, 2026.

Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Grassroots NGOs based in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, or Vietnam that center women and non-binary leadership in their community work.
  • Organizations looking for flexible, unrestricted funding to scale or adapt existing initiatives rather than being forced to create a rigid new project.
  • Teams seeking community connection, peer learning, and networking opportunities alongside direct financial support over a two-year horizon.

What should you think carefully about?

  • Applications must be submitted in English, which may require utilizing available translation and language support partners.
  • Organizations must have established legal permissions to receive foreign funding before applying.
  • Grants are structured strictly as two-year commitments and are not intended for short-term emergency relief.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This opportunity is ideal for growing organizations in South and Southeast Asia aiming to integrate climate adaptation more deeply into ongoing community programs while securing multi-year financial stability and regional peer collaboration.

Our take

Eligible women- and non-binary-led NGOs working at the intersection of climate resilience and community welfare in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, and Vietnam should strongly consider applying. Organizations lacking foreign funding authorization or the capacity to apply in English will find this opportunity unsuitable unless utilizing provided support services.
