Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Women founders or co-founders leading impact-driven projects at the seed or MVP stage.
- Teams working in thematic areas such as sustainability, health, education, technology, or social innovation.
- Entrepreneurs looking for both non-repayable funding and a structured 6-month support program to scale their initiatives.
What should you think carefully about?
- The monetary awards are subject to specific tax withholding for self-employed individuals in Spain, and applicants should verify tax implications in their own jurisdiction.
- The application process requires a high-quality pitch deck and a 2-minute elevator pitch video, which demands significant preparation time.
- Winning projects must be prepared to enter into formal legal agreements for funding disbursement.
- The program is competitive, with only 15 winners selected globally across five categories.
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This program is an ideal accelerator for early-stage founders who need more than just capital. The combination of strategic mentorship, investor connections, and media visibility provides a comprehensive boost for projects that are ready to move from the MVP stage to a more sustainable and scalable business model.
Our take
This is a premier opportunity for women-led social impact startups to secure both funding and expert guidance; it is less suitable for projects that are not yet at the defined MVP stage or those not seeking external mentorship.
