Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • You possess 8-10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations design.
  • You have a background in institutional catering, large-scale food service, or school feeding programs.
  • You are proficient in financial modeling and costing for operational solutions.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a 6-month contract, which may be best suited for those seeking short-term advisory impact.
  • The role is strictly on-site in Cairo, requiring physical presence for the duration of the assignment.
  • You must verify if your specific professional background aligns with the 2026/2027 school year transition timeline.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role is ideal for a supply chain professional looking to apply their expertise to a high-impact, large-scale humanitarian transformation project. It offers a unique opportunity to influence national-level policy and infrastructure design, making it a strong choice for someone aiming to build a portfolio in public sector food systems and large-scale operational reform.

Our take

Experienced supply chain and catering experts who thrive in advisory roles and want to contribute to a major national feeding initiative should apply; those seeking long-term stability may find the 6-month duration less suitable.
