Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Current university students seeking structured administrative experience alongside their studies in an academic environment.
  • Individuals with strong organizational skills who enjoy coordinating courses, managing logistics, and handling IT administrative systems.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates comfortable working and communicating professionally in both Danish and English.

What should you think carefully about?

  • The position requires an average commitment of 12 hours per week, which must be balanced with your ongoing university coursework.
  • The initial contract duration is fixed at one year, though there is a possibility of extension.
  • Relocation or daily commuting to the Odense campus is necessary as the workplace is on-site.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This student assistant role fits well for current undergraduates or early-stage university students looking to build practical administrative skills, gain higher education sector experience, and establish professional networks within a major research university without delaying their primary studies.

Our take

Current students at the University of Southern Denmark who possess strong administrative flair and bilingual communication skills should seriously consider applying. It is less suitable for individuals unable to commit to an on-site schedule in Odense or those not currently enrolled at SDU.
