Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Experienced education and youth professionals looking to mentor emerging writers while publishing sectoral analyses
- Young European communicators and researchers aged 18–34 passionate about civic participation, policy, and digital resources
- Candidates seeking high-visibility transnational European collaboration that fits around existing studies or employment
What should you think carefully about?
- The commitment spans over a year with modest fixed financial remuneration (EUR 1,800 stipend or EUR 3,000 fee)
- Physical participation in a multi-day European meeting during January or February 2027 is mandatory
- All drafted materials will be published under Creative Commons licensing with copyright transferred to SALTO PI
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This opportunity offers European civic engagement specialists and emerging youth advocates a visible platform to co-produce analytical resources for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. It is well-suited for professionals and young writers aiming to build an editorial portfolio, gain cross-sectoral mentoring experience, and expand their transnational networks across Europe on a light part-time schedule.
Our take
An excellent remote arrangement for EU-based educators, researchers, and young civic contributors who want to shape European participation discourse alongside other commitments. It is less suitable for individuals seeking full-time income or those unable to travel for the mandatory winter 2027 meeting.
