Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Administrative specialists based in Aden with five or more years of operational support experience who are ready to transition into the United Nations common system.
  • Bilingual Arabic and English communicators with direct experience handling mission logistics, procurement processes, or financial administration in humanitarian or development projects.
  • Candidates familiar with enterprise management systems (such as GSM or Oracle) and experienced in maintaining diplomatic correspondence with government ministries.

What should you think carefully about?

  • Strictly local recruitment; applicants must already reside within the commuting area of Aden, Yemen, as no relocation assistance is provided.
  • Contracts are awarded for up to 12 months initially, with future renewals contingent on available funding, performance, and operational need.
  • Being placed on a talent roster does not guarantee an immediate contract offer or permanent position.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This roster role serves as an exceptional pathway for mid-level administrative professionals in Yemen seeking to enter the United Nations system. Whether your immediate priority is securing stable, competitive compensation with comprehensive medical and pension benefits, or gaining critical operational experience in public health emergencies and development planning, this assignment builds substantial institutional credentials.

Our take

Qualified administrative personnel living in the Aden commuting area who possess strong English and Arabic skills should submit an application before the deadline. It is unsuitable for international candidates or those outside the commuting area who require relocation support.
