Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Professionals with a proven track record in fundraising or partnership management within the humanitarian or development sectors.
  • Candidates who possess strong analytical skills and experience in drafting technical proposals and institutional reports.
  • Individuals comfortable working in a multicultural environment who can effectively coordinate across different internal units and external stakeholders.

What should you think carefully about?

  • This is a fixed-term professional role requiring a significant commitment to specific institutional goals and donor-driven timelines.
  • Applicants must already possess the legal right to work in Bolivia, as the organization does not appear to sponsor work visas for this position.
  • The role requires high proficiency in both Spanish and English, which will be essential for drafting technical documents and communicating with international partners.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This position is an excellent opportunity for mid-career professionals looking to deepen their expertise in humanitarian resource mobilization and institutional positioning. It offers a chance to contribute directly to WFP's strategic objectives in Bolivia while gaining experience within a major UN agency, which can be a significant step for those aiming for a long-term career in international development or humanitarian aid.

Our take

This role is highly suitable for experienced development professionals with a background in fundraising or partnership management who are already based in or authorized to work in Bolivia. It is less suitable for those without the required five years of relevant experience or those who do not meet the language proficiency requirements.
