Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Professionals with a background in digital governance, ICT project management, or public administration reform in Montenegro
  • Candidates who possess both technical understanding of information systems and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • Individuals with experience in coordinating ICT vendors, software development, or infrastructure procurement

What should you think carefully about?

  • The role is a fixed-term, one-year contract, which may require planning for future career transitions
  • The application process is tiered; candidates should verify their status within the UNDP/UNCDF/UNV system before applying
  • The position requires fluency in both English and Montenegrin, which is a strict requirement for daily coordination with national partners

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional to gain high-level experience within the UN system while contributing to a significant national digital transformation project. It is particularly well-suited for those looking to bridge the gap between technical ICT implementation and public policy, providing a platform to influence Montenegro's EU accession process through digital infrastructure.

Our take

Qualified candidates with a background in digital project management and fluency in Montenegrin should apply promptly, as the application window is short. It is less suitable for those without the required language proficiency or those seeking long-term permanent tenure, as this is a specific, project-based NPSA contract.
