About the opportunity

ChangemakerXchange is hiring a Programme Lead to oversee a global initiative supporting young changemakers building a fairer, more sustainable future for AI and the digital world. The role spans alternative AI infrastructure, fighting algorithmic bias, defending digital rights, and using tech for social impact across four regional cohorts (Europe, MENA, the US, and Asia Pacific). The Programme Lead will handle end-to-end delivery, coordinate with local hosts and facilitators, manage relationships with a multinational corporate partner, oversee impact measurement, and contribute to general core team responsibilities.

Salary and benefits

  • A 12-month contract running through to the end of October 2027 or one year from the start date.
  • Offered as a full-time position, with the possibility of 3-4 days per week.
  • A small office in the heart of Berlin with state-of-the-art tech equipment.
  • Flexibility for some home office days.
  • Salary range of 45,000 to 60,000 EUR per year based on years of relevant experience, competencies, and role responsibility.

Who can apply?

  • Significant experience in programme or project management, ideally managing multi-region or multi-stream programmes.
  • Fluency in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Berlin-based or otherwise Germany-based, as the timeline does not allow for relocation.
  • Strong organisational skills and comfort managing complexity across multiple regions and stakeholders.
  • Experience and fluency, or fast learning capacity, with standard office and project tools (MS Office, Google Tools, Typeform, Monday, Zoom).
  • Ideal attributes include experience managing corporate partnerships with large multinational companies, existing knowledge of the responsible tech and AI space, and a delivery-focused approach.
