  • Teaching duties take up to 20% of your time, which means balancing research publication goals with instructional responsibilities.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This position offers a strong stepping stone for early-career researchers aiming to build a high-impact publication record, manage complex academic initiatives, and establish themselves within European environmental governance networks. It provides stable funding and protected research time to advance scholarship in climate democracy without immediate teaching-heavy loads.

Our take

This role is ideal for ambitious postdoctoral researchers with a background in environmental politics, sociology, or related fields who are eager to contribute to high-profile climate democracy initiatives. Candidates unable to relocate to Finland or those seeking permanent positions immediately should carefully weigh the fixed-term nature of the appointment.
