About the opportunity
Are you excited about designing digital innovations for sustainable healthcare and eager to support Dutch care organizations in reducing medication waste while ensuring safe and compliant care? Join us as a PhD candidate on the NWO project REMARK. Healthcare organizations are under increasing pressure to become more sustainable while delivering safe, high-quality care. Circular care pathways offer opportunities to reduce waste, but they require new methods to continuously monitor processes, detect deviations, and assess compliance. In this PhD project, you will investigate how process-aware information systems can support the monitoring and governance of circular care pathways, developing novel methods using event data and healthcare process information. You will be a member of the Information Systems group within the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences, collaborating with researchers, healthcare organizations, and industry partners.
