About the opportunity
The PhD candidate will join the Research Group for Risk-Benefit at the DTU National Food Institute. This 3-year project aims to improve the risk assessment of metals and metalloids (e.g., lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, and selenium) by developing methods to estimate the health risk and burden of disease associated with complex mixtures. The role includes planning and conducting ICP-MS analyses of human blood samples, developing mathematical models, conducting literature reviews, and disseminating research through peer-reviewed publications. The position also involves teaching and student supervision, and requires the completion of 30 ECTS credits in courses during the 3-year period. The project includes an external academic stay.
