Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Registered nurses with specialized experience in mental health triage and multidisciplinary care coordination
  • Candidates who possess a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse certification (PMH-BC), as it is explicitly preferred
  • Professionals comfortable working in a primary care environment to bridge the gap between general medical and mental health services

What should you think carefully about?

  • The application deadline is very short; ensure all documentation is prepared immediately
  • The resume is strictly limited to two pages; exceeding this will result in automatic disqualification
  • The role requires a one-year probationary period to evaluate performance and agency needs
  • Relocation is not guaranteed; while incentives may be authorized, they are subject to agency determination

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This role is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking to specialize in mental health facilitation within a federal military healthcare setting. It offers a stable, full-time position with competitive federal pay and benefits, making it a strong choice for those seeking to advance their clinical career while contributing to the Department of Defense's healthcare mission.

Our take

Qualified nurses with mental health experience should apply immediately given the short application window. It is less suitable for those who cannot meet the strict two-page resume requirement or who do not hold an active, unrestricted U.S. nursing license.
