Our Take on This Opportunity

This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.

You may be a strong fit if…

  • Recent graduates or final-year university students from Africa looking to pursue fully funded graduate studies in social sciences, public policy, or international affairs.
  • Individuals with a demonstrated commitment to public service, community impact, and the socio-economic transformation of the African continent.
  • Candidates who face significant economic, social, or geographical barriers to education, including refugees and displaced persons.

What should you think carefully about?

  • Relocation to France is required for the duration of the two-year Master's programme.
  • The scholarship offer cannot be deferred; deferring your university admission causes you to lose the scholarship eligibility.
  • Dual degree programmes and one-year Master's programmes are strictly ineligible for this scholarship.

How could this fit your current goals and plans?

This opportunity is ideal for ambitious students aiming for leadership roles in public policy, non-governmental organisations, or entrepreneurial initiatives focused on Africa. The combination of full financial backing and professional mentorship provides a powerful launchpad for impactful careers without the burden of student debt.

Our take

African students who meet the academic threshold and aspire to drive transformative change should strongly consider applying. Those seeking a one-year degree or dual degree pathway should look for alternative funding sources.
