Our Take on This Opportunity
This section reflects Open Opportunities’ own analysis of the opportunity from an applicant’s perspective.
You may be a strong fit if…
- Eight years of project management experience, specifically in IT
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and portfolio management tools
- Fluency in English and intermediate knowledge of a second UN language
What should you think carefully about?
- This is a consultancy contract (CST Level II) based in Rome
- Requires managing multi-vendor projects and senior stakeholder interactions
- Focuses on digital business transformation rather than direct humanitarian field work
How could this fit your current goals and plans?
This role is perfect for an IT project manager looking to drive digital transformation within a global humanitarian organization. It provides an opportunity to lead large-scale IT solutions that enhance organizational efficiency and humanitarian response.
Our take
Experienced IT portfolio managers with a background in digital transformation should apply. Those seeking a field-based humanitarian role rather than an IT-focused corporate consultancy may find this position less suitable.
