About the opportunity
The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking an international consultant to write a policy brief for Member States on harnessing nature-based solutions (NbS) to improve and promote health and well-being. Health systems remain largely treatment-oriented, lacking sufficient attention to environmental determinants and equitable access to green and blue spaces. Using a theory-of-change framework, the brief will offer key evidence-based practical policy messages in a “best buys” format, providing 10 to 20 key NbS relevant for the WHO European Region. The assignment spans 40 working days over a six-month period, concluding by July 1, 2027.
